The problems that they have with the questions are extremely subjective and opinionated, so why should I lose points on my account just because of a difference of opinion?
They'll probably remove this question 卢_卢.
Why do yahoo remove points from your account when you have a question removed and appeal declined?
yahoo can be silly at times. i think the whole points system encourages people to give any old answer which defeats the purpose of this site. i think you should not worry about points and most of all don't worry about yahoo's petty tom foolery
Reply:Yahoo!'s appeal system is extremely abused, as they have trusted members of the public, anyone, to have the power to say which is right and which is wrong on here to say, or post.
As it is like this, people find it fun to abuse it a lot, and stalk people and so on, which is awful. Yahoo! simply removes the questions because, rightly so, you were doing something wrong, but as people abuse the system, half the people out there are not doing any wrong, and yet they still have points deducted.
As for the appeal, I find it is ridiculous to remove as many points as a violation for simply losing an appeal. And the appeal system is so very flawed as well! Which is even more silly as people to actually win one have to appeal a number of times, thus losing more and more points just for the sake of justice! Ridiculous.
And, well, opinion questions truly are prone to having questions/answers removed, whether it is about Religion %26amp; Spirituality, whether people should go to jail for doing such and such or which political party is correct etc. I'm afraid if you have very strong opinions on things, you will most likely get deleted.
Sorry to hear about it, don't take it personally, it happens to a lot of people on here. If you really want to avoid receiving violations, then maybe be a bit careful with your strong opinion, no offence.
Have a nice day! :-)
Reply:That is the way it is on here. If someone does not like your question/answer no matter if it is good or bad they can report it all it takes is 2 reports. No it is not fair because yahoo does not check the question/answer out before they delete and take away points. Everyone has an opinion about things and if the person is asking for an opinion then there is no right or wrong answer so I do not think answers should be deleted on questions like that unless the person breaks the guidelines. Good luck!!!
Reply:Posters of questions that violated the guidelines are penalized the 10 points so they will learn the rules and stop flooding the system asking personal and inappropriate questions.
