Like say my son took money out of his bank account would the bank tell me when and how much?
If money is taken out of my bank account would I be notified?
No, you won't be notified.
Reply:If your son is a minor and you are on his account, you can check his account via online banking if your bank offers it. Otherwise you won't have any notifications on the account activity - unless your bank offers some special program.
Reply:not if he is on the account. If he isn't, then unless he is using a debit card of yours, then there isn't much a way to tell except to find out where the money was pulled out and review video of that time.
Reply:1) Yes, it's called a 'Monthly Statement'
2) No, however the Bank will send your son his own Monthly Statement, which you could insist he shows you.
Reply:No. You should know yourself when you take money out of your own account.
Why would they tell you when your son took money out of HIS account? That's what monthly bank statements are for; you can use them to reconcile
Reply:Well they'll give him a little paper saying how much money he has left in the bank, but they won't notify the persons parent on how much money they take out.
Reply:You can usually sign up for online banking which will show you each withdrawal or purchase.

What happens to our questions, answers and Yahoo account after we die?
Can this be considered property and passed on to our children and grandchildren? Or does it all belong to someone else already?
What happens to our questions, answers and Yahoo account after we die?
What a strange question! Is yahoo that important to you? Glad I'm not in your family!
Reply:They live on into eternity. One day you will be regognized and your Blog will be all over CNN......Until then, THIS IS PAUL HARVEY....GOOD DAY!
Reply:Well, if they know the passwords, you could keep it going for a long time (Personally, I give this site another two yearsbefore it folds up shop like Google Answers did)
Reply:While I don't know the actual answer to your question (and really, I can't stand people who just chime in to say "I don't know"), I do want you to know that you just sent a chill down my spine at the prospect that one day, we're going to hear about a civil lawsuit regarding ownership of a deceased person's blog, Facebook account, or, heaven helps us all, Yahoo! Answers account. And I thought the McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit was stupid.
Reply:you are either wierd or want to get more points

Is it safe to give a stranger your account number?
I sold something on ebay and they need it asap, for some reason they cant do paypal. Is it safe to give them my name and account number so they can pay the money in?
Is it safe to give a stranger your account number?
eBay tells you to NEVER NEVER NEVER give out any account information!!!!!!!!! It's a scam. If they can't do paypal, they can't safely buy your product. Never give anyone any of your information. Since I believe you may have done this before. For your security, go and change all your online passwords, just in case. All your emails and bank, everything! Not doing so may set you up for identity theft. believe me I see it way to often.
Reply:no

Reply:no dont do it. if they need it that urgent get them to send cash or postal order by recorded delivery
Reply:No, if they cannot pay using Pay pal or Visa via E-bay the safest options are Cash if they can collect item, cheque (wait 'till cleared to send the item) or postal order. There are genuine people out there but how can you tell, I would not take the risk.

How and where can i open a bank account in philippino peso currency.?
Im trying to diversify my dollars while they are still worth something.
How and where can i open a bank account in philippino peso currency.?
You did not indicate where you are and where you want to open an account
If you are in the Philippines, all banks offer savings, checking and other types of accounts in Philippine pesos.
But if you are in the US, try the offshore branches of Philippine banks. Metrobank http://www.metrobankny.com/index.html and Philippine National Bank http://www.pnb.com.ph/brsperareaoverseas... have branches in New York, Los Angeles and Honolulu

What is better a CD Account or a Money Market account?
Right now Citi Bank has a really good CD 6 months 5.0%apy or should i do a money Market which i dont know too much about?
What is better a CD Account or a Money Market account?
Compare the interest rates between them. Money markets invests in debt securities (such as government bonds) and may sometime perform better than a CD account.
I don't particularly like CDs because you have to hold the money in there for a period of time before you can take it out. Money markets are easily liquidable.
Reply:CD is a better deal if interest rates are going down, because they lock in the rate. But you can't access your money during the term. The good news is it's FDIC insured.
Money Market is better if interest rates are going up, because they change interest rate every week. They are not FDIC insured.
Personally, I prefer Money Markets.
Reply:Money Market account
Reply:A money market is just like a savings account but with a higher interest rate. You can take money out but are limited in the number of times you do this. I would say a money market is best, you can open on up online, at HSBC or even i think citi bank and get a 5%. There are a few out there that even have higher. Look in your local paper or check online at bankrate.com, to find the best rate.

Can I take money from my dutch RABOBANK account from different country?
I made the account in Netherland, but now I am going back to Indonesia for good. So is it still possible for me to take money or even close the account from Indonesia?
Can I take money from my dutch RABOBANK account from different country?
Shouldn't be a problem. I lived abroad for a period of time and changed my postal address to there and the bank (ABN Amro) was fine with that. I received statements etc to that address, and any dealings I did was via internet banking or telephone (with code verification)
The only thing is that you will have to pay for the services, e.g. pincard, internet banking etc on a yearly basis. Therefore if you are not really using the account, then actually it doesn't make sense to keep it open
You can take money out from the account from an ATM with Maestro sign on it, or make a bank transfer (providing the Rabobank allows this to Indonesia) via internet banking, or of course withdraw all the money before you leave
The choice is yours :0)
Reply:The Maestro sign means you can use it in all maestro accepting ATM's (cash machines) in the world.
So you cans till access the money taht you have in the account.
I am not sure if you can close it from Indonesia, as they might need to see ID to close it. You could go to your local branch before you go to Indonesia to ask them.
But you dont have to close the account, you can leave it open. It doesnt really matter
Reply:I guess so. When I am in France or in Spain I can still take money from my Dutch Rabobank account. Hope this helps.

Does it cost anyhting to have an ebay account?
Not if its to purely for buying. If want to sell they have various charges such as listing fees and such bu those aren't that expensive.
Does it cost anyhting to have an ebay account?
not if all you do is buy. if you decide to sell something then there are fees involved per item but no cost for the actual account
Reply:no it doesnt cost nothing unless you sel stuff
Reply:Nope its completely free.
Reply:Nope. You do need a bank account and a credit card/debit card would help. Dont forget Paypal. They are really connected with Ebay. I couldnt get a lot of stuff until I got a Paypal account
Reply:Yes. I have an ebay account and I payed for it :[
Reply:No, it doesn't.
If you're a 'seller', then you have to pay for posting items... if you're a 'buyer', you pay nothing exept the price for the item and possibly shipping...
It's also a good idea to have a PayPal account, which is free as well...
Have fun!

Can i stop paying my world of warcraft account then reactivate it later?
I want to take a little break from world of warcraft and start playing again when the next exspansion comes out, so can i like deactivate my account while still keeping all my stuff then reactivate it?
Can i stop paying my world of warcraft account then reactivate it later?
Yep you can. You just have to make sure that you cancel the subscription if you are having the payments automatically debited from your credit card or bank account. My husband went a whole year without playing, then reactivated his account and went back to playing like no time had passed at all.
Reply:Yes,
Blizzard keeps track of all accounts current and historical. they keep the old account in hope that this will bring back past players.
All of your equipment will still be the same and you will also gain a lot of rested XP for the time that you are gone.
I stopped playing before TBC came out. I parked my level 60 at a Inn then once I reopened my account I had Rested XP out the ***.
Keep in mind that you will lose all the time that is remaining on your account if you do not wish to play untill that time expires.
Also do not delete your account. all you will have to do is let the the time run out and then once you deside to play again just add time and take off again.
Reply:Yes. As I understand it accounts that become in-active either through non-use or termination of subscription continue to exist (some have said they are never deleted) and you simply need to sign up for a subscription later when you want to reactivate it.
Reply:Of course, if Blizzard doesn't receive payment, your account is labeled 'frozen'. Simply add a payment card or a credit card when the expansion comes out, and enter into the website, your account is then labeled 'active'.
Reply:Yep - my daughter decided she didn't want to play, so I unsubscribed. The account was frozen.
6 months later she changed her mind, so i subscribed. All was there as it was left, except for the mailbox.
Reply:Of course you can. You can play or take a little break. Your account and all things will be kept almost, until now I can say, till the WoW end.
Just take a break and come back when you want. Everythings is fine
Reply:Yes when you disable it the account merly freezes
then you just reactivate it again
however if u pay by credit card you will need to reenter those details
Reply:Like everyone says, ya you can. I've been playing the game on and off since it came out and all your character will still be there when you want to start up again
Reply:YES! You can simply end your subscription and then when that month expires, your character freezes. They keep all exp., money and items! Then When WOTLK (wrath of the lich king) comes out, you can play again!

Or do I have to upgrade to a different account? When you reach a certain level, you'll have to upgrade to premier or business class. Same account,

You can update your account if you want, seems I remember that those are free but limited in somethings.

What's the best bank to open an account with?
I would like to open a new bank account but am indecisive as to which bank would be best for me. I obviously don't want to pay fees for every little single thing. Who do you bank with?
What's the best bank to open an account with?
The Bank of the Mattress.... NO fees, NO waiting in line, 24 hour ATM machine, friendly service.
Reply:Your best bet would be a credit union, as evidenced by the other responses.
Reply:I have an account with Bank of America and I really like their service. Since I have direct deposit, I pay no fees and get free on line bill pay, a check card Visa with my picture on it (better than just a signature).
Reply:I prefer credit unions to banks. I use ArVest bank, Northern Schools Federal Credit Union, and Auburn University Credit Union.
Reply:I haven't really found a great bank, but I can tell you not to bank with Bank of America... they are very strict with fees. Most banks offer free checking with direct deposit though. Bank North isn't too bad if they are in your area.
Reply:One that doesn't nickle and dime you to death--- look for one that offers the highest interest on your money and will give you a simple interest loan --- (without you mentioning the simple interest) --- (If it happens let me know!)
Reply:there all pretty much the same. i would just read up on different banks. try Wells Fargo. that's a good one
Reply:i have a account wit keybank its real gud
Reply:NOT Wells Fargo. They nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING
Reply:I would personally recommend a community bank. They will have the lowest fees and the best customer service. If good customer service is not important (you do everything online, etc.) and you need access to branches all over the country, I'd recommend US Bank. I travel a lot and I bank (and work) at a community bank. I think they have the most to offer, but that's just my $.02. By the way, I'm not just saying that because I work for one. I've always banked here, so it worked out nicely when I got a job with them. :)
Reply:Washington Mutual, if you have one un your area. DON'T use U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. Money disappears from these places.
Reply:Try a credit union. Just make sure they belong to the Co-Op Network, because then you can use ATM's across the country for free.
Reply:if you have one try bank atlantic they are open 7 days a week and they don' t charge fees. they are open early and past 5 too. great bank .
Reply:Don't get a credit union account unless you have good credit. And with other banks, depending if your on ChexSystems or Telecheck they probably won't open an account for you.
Reply:Depends on where you live. I love Bank One/Chase. I have used Wells Fargo and Compass...both horrible banks!!
Good Luck!
Reply:Wachovia
Reply:arvest.....great prices and hours(8-8)mon-fri
Reply:DEFINITELY A CREDIT UNION IF YOU CAN. MANY MAJOR BANKS LIKE WACHOVIA AND BANK OF AMERICA ARE USING CUSTOMER SERVICE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES WHICH MAKES AMERICANS LOSE JOBS. CREDIT UNIONS GIVE MORE PERSONAL SERVICE AND ARE CONTROLLED BY THE MEMBERS.
Reply:I would get an account with a local Credit Union. They are better then banks. Normaly no fees whatsoever and you get better service!
Reply:credit unions offer better benefits and options than any regular bank.
Reply:I like Bank of America. They have different accounts to chose from and they have Keep The Change. I use to bank with Amsouth but, I moved and they weren't big here. I had an account with a credit union and it isn't any different.

I'm trying to pay my car payment online and it's asking for a bank account nickname. What is that?
I have tried different names and it doesn't accept them. It evidently has some answer in mind, but I don't know what it is.
I'm trying to pay my car payment online and it's asking for a bank account nickname. What is that?
May be your bank has a facility for a nickname. I personally feel, it's the name you had entered while you filled your form on the account opening day on a nickname column. Get that name. surely, that is possibly the case.

How can I import pictures in my Flickr account into Photoshop Express.?
The help files on Photoshop Express say you have to set up permissions on Flickr, but I see nothing there to do so.
How can I import pictures in my Flickr account into Photoshop Express.?
if the pictures in your flickr account are yours you don't need to import them from flicker, just take them from the source you used to put them on the flickr in the first place.
you wouldn't be trying to steal something ofcourse, that would be illegal and may wind up with litigation.

Can I get denied for an online savings account?
I would like to open an online savings account but all of the sites require an application. I have bad credit and am worried that I could get turned down.
Can I get denied for an online savings account?
So what is the consequences of being turned down? That you just don't have a saving account. Is that so big of a deal?
Reply:Why would imagine that you would not have to fill out an application for a savings account? There is NO institution that will accept you without your applying.
If you have bad credit, then you probably will be denied because all the money for bad credit accounts has dried up.

Would my bank let me cash a large check if there is little money in the account?
I beleive you can ,you are most likely to have to leave a portion in the account for several days until it clears. It also depends on where the check is from or if it is a personal check.
Would my bank let me cash a large check if there is little money in the account?
Yes they will but they will wait until it clears. That's your answer. They wont give you a loan on that check until it clears so why try for a loan. Just wait your two to three days.
Reply:Depends on the banks policy. If its drawn on a bank other than yours, only a percentage may be kept, and the rest deposited until funds clear.
But if its YOUR account with little money, no....

Can a company withdraw a paycheck from your account for time you worked there?
My husband received a paycheck via direct deposit on Jan 31 and quit the next day Feb 1. Now today the company withdrew the paycheck from his account. That paycheck was for the time he worked from Jan15-Jan31. He has a work laptop that is on its way back to the company and they have the shipping number to track it. The company is in Colorado and we're in Virginia. Isn't there some kinda law that protects against this? I honestly think that there is no way they can legally get away with this! We're very upset and have no idea about what we can do about it.
Can a company withdraw a paycheck from your account for time you worked there?
See a lawyer, they have to pay him.
Reply:Call your bank and ask them why they did this and if there was some court ordered release of the money
Reply:If the check date was Feb. 1 and the deposit date was Jan 31, sure, they can pull it back.
We withhold final paychecks pending return of company equipment too. It's perfectly legal.
Reply:That is a very unusual case. I don't think it is legal for someone to withdraw money from your account, but the company can put a hold or stop payment on the check, through its' bank. Call the company and ask for an explanation. It may be that the company is holding the pay until the laptop is actually returned and verified to be undamaged.
Reply:Agreed. Get a lawyer.
Reply:If he r'cvd a check on Jan 31 ( a Wednesday, that is really weird for 1) for his work from Jan 15, 2007 thru Jan. 31, 2007 ( another wierd thing the last day of the pay period and he got his check the same day) i think you had better check what his actual pay period was and what that check was actually for.
I'd also guess until that laptop is recieved in good condition, your husband won't r'cve his last check.
I handle payroll and the time frame your describing seems a little strange to me for pay period ending and deposit turn around time.
Reply:I dont know about the laws in your state but in CA an employer cannot withold a paycheck for any reason. Even though the company is in Colorado did your husband work for them in Virginia? If so Virginia's laws apply not Co's.
Reply:I would assume that the company only has permission to deposit funds in the account not withdraw and would take this up with the bank. Make sure you get a receipt for the laptop and that it is in working order. Try calling the labour board in the community and see if they can help especially if he is entitled to this pay and perhaps holiday pay depending on the rules for your state. Be firm with the bank don't just agree with what they say.
Reply:It depends. When you sign up for direct deposit for your paycheck, you agree that the company has the right to withdraw from your account for any reason.
Typically payroll cannot be garnished to pay for missing items or damaged equipment. Ask why the amount was withdrawn and when you can expect to receive the last paycheck.
If you get no resolution in a reasonable amount of time, contact the Colorado labor board immediately.

Figuring out which stock broker to open an account with?
Hello all, any insight is greatly appreciated.
I'm looking to open an account but I want
-no account minimum
-cheapest online simple trades
ive looked at zecco, tradekings, sogo, im not sure which one is the best for my preferences, too much jargon for me.
Figuring out which stock broker to open an account with?
Consider enrolling in the Sharebuilder "BASIC" automatic investment plan.
No account minimum balance requirement.
NO subscription fee for the "BASIC" plan.
$4.00 commission charge.
Using the plan you can buy stock on any Tuesday the market is open.
The plan is a dollar based system of investing allowing purchase of fractional shares.
Example: $100.00 might get you 8.25 shares of stock (depending upon the exact price per share at time of purchase).
Reply:Trade King is the way to go, Good trading platform, fast execution on trades, low commissions, and they have great customer service, they also have great section for new investors.

Can you explain what an IRA is (Traditional and Roth) as opposed to a regular savings account?
I understand that IRA savings accounts have a higher dividend rate, but that all I know.
Please put your answer in simple English. I got a technical answer from someone already, and it made little sense. Hence, this question.
Thanks!
Can you explain what an IRA is (Traditional and Roth) as opposed to a regular savings account?
IRAs are Individual Retirement Accounts. These accounts have special tax treatment and withdrawal restrictions unlike your typical savings account which provides free access to your money at any time.
Since IRAs are meant for retirement, you typically only put money into these accounts that you won't need until you reach retirement age. generally speaking, there is a penalty if you withdraw money from an IRA before you reach age 59.5.
The main difference between a Traditional IRA and a Roth is how the money is taxed. Money added to a traditional IRA is tax deductible. This means if you put $2,000 in an IRA this year, you'd typically get to deduct $2,000 from your taxable income, thus saving on your current income taxes. But, when you withdraw the money from a Traditional IRA at some point in the future, it's taxed as income.
A Roth IRA on the other had has no immediate tax benefits, but qualified withdrawals are tax-free. This means you won't get a tax break up front for putting money into a Roth, but when you withdraw the money in retirement it will be completely tax free.
So, if you are looking to save money for retirement and know that you won't need it for a long time, an IRA can be a good idea. But if you're investing money you might need in an IRA just to get a better rate of return, you could be doing more harm than good since you are usually penalized for early withdrawals.
There are a number of special circumstances and a wide variety of investment choices with IRAs that need to be taken into consideration, so it might be best to get some good advice before jumping in.
So, remember: savings accounts are liquid and give you access to your money at any time. IRAs are meant for money you won't likely need until retirement and come with special tax benefits, but may have penalties if you don't use them properly.

I got the 'facebook virus' and deactivated my account temporarily and dumped the old computer. Will this work?
I got the facebook virus because I'm an idiot. I got it on a PC that later turned to a zombie. A computer expert came in and cleaned the laptop and everything on it, at all. On my Mac, I deactivated my facebook for 2 or 3 weeks. I'm afraid to reactivate it in case the virus is still there but idk. Can anyone help?
I got the 'facebook virus' and deactivated my account temporarily and dumped the old computer. Will this work?
If the computer expert has done his job well and completely cleaned the computer(s), then you are good to go.
In addition, if you want to make sure Please run a anti-malware scan using any antivirus programs you may have, in addition to http://housecall.trendmicro.com . If it finds any infections, delete them all.
If it comes up clean then everything should be OK. You can go ahead and reactivate your account.
If you still have problems / not sure, check out the link below. You will get the help you need to resolve this issue, if this post can't help you.

How many emails fit in a 1000MB email account?
If I have an email account with 1000MB of storage, how many plain text emails will I be able to store?
How many emails fit in a 1000MB email account?
Why in the world would you want to keep that much crap? All those emails will build up in your pc and slow it down. You'll have to do one hell of a registry clean and defrag after you do that.

I want to start some type of an account for my five year old son to have when he gets older. What kind is best
Should I invest in a mutual fund or should I buy bonds or just a plain old savings account? I would like for him to have a good amount of money for him by the time he turns 18. I would invest at least $50-$100 or more monthly.

Consider a 529 College Savings account. Each one is different but under most circumstances it should be deductible on your taxes.
I looked at a college calculator right after my first son was born and with a moderate rate of return and choosing a public state school, the calculator indicated I would have to save $141 a month for 18 years! Yes, from the time he's born to 18! It's even higher if you start at 5 or if you want your child to go to a private school like Stanford, Harvard or Princeton.
Reply:Well... a "plain old saving account' isn't going cut it. The banks invest your money in mutual funds, then only give you 3% interest. So if your not a seasoned investor like myself, then mutual funds and bonds are your best bets. Mutual funds basically are money managers who take out a % of the interest (not as much as the bank) for managing your account, and give you the rest. When mutual fund share prices are low you have the opportunity to buy more shares, and when they go up in price you leverage your money. Get in touch with a licensed securities mutual fund agent, and they can help you find the best performing mutual funds.
Reply:Consider a 529 savings plan to fund his college education.

It's more important to take care of his education than to provide him with fun money.
Reply:If you plan to apply for financial aid for your child if he goes to college, save the money in your name rather in your child's name. Colleges expect a much greater percentage of the money in your child's name, 35 percent, to be used annually for college costs than the money in your name, 6 percent. If you want to save for your child's college bill without outside help, investing in your kid's name can save you money in taxes. You have a couple of options.
Your first option would be to save the money yourself in your own account or use your home equity to pay for your child's college education. Of course, the drawback is your going to pay higher taxes for all the money your saving in your savings account and equity in home should be used for emergencies only.
Your second option would be a traditional custodial account. You control the account until the child reaches the age of 18 or 21 depending on your state. Until the age of 14, the first $800 dollars of interest and dividend income is tax free, the next $800 is taxed at 10%. Anything above $1,600 is taxed at the parent's marginal tax rate. After age 14, all income generated by investments in your child's name is taxed at your child's rate, which is a low tax rate, until 18 or 21. Great idea, even if he doesn't go to college, for he/she would have a footing when he/she leaves home.
Another plan, which follows the same idea as the custodial plan above is an ESA, Education Savings Account. This would be great if your not going to apply for any type of financial aid. You can put up to $2,000 per year, per child. When withdrawn, if it is used for college, the earnings are not taxed.
Last but not least, there is the Section 529 plan, the state sponsered college savings plan. You can put into it more then $200,000 per child into one of these plans. As long as it's used for college, the great thing about it also, is that it's not taxed at all. It can also be used for graduate school expenses too. Unlike the custodial account, it must be used for college only. If it's not, the withdrawal of the money is taxed and a 10% penalty is added. Also, if you would try and get financial aid for your child, this plan would greatly diminish their financial aid eligibility.
These plans have pros and cons. These plans make sense for parents to establish their children who don't qualify for financial aid.
Reply:Well you could set up a custodial savings account for him. No transactions would be able to be made without you being present. I would check out the Certificate of deposit rates in your area, it might give you an opportunity to earn a little extra cash with a better interest rate. There's also something called a 529 plan. Its a college savings plan, if you plan on sending him to college, it might be ideal to start saving now. Check the different financial institutions in your area and compare rates. Good Luck!

If i have a late loan payment, can my bank legally take the money from my account without permission?
we have a late loan payment on a loan from this bank. they took the money from our account without permission, to pay it. now they won't put the money back and we have checks bouncing.
If i have a late loan payment, can my bank legally take the money from my account without permission?
..more alarmingly, each bounced cheque and d.d. will incur further charges by the bank and creditors and put you further into the red.
If you have means to straighten your account, you could have words with the bank manager and he may waive the charges at his discretion. (Even though it's the bank that initiated the domino effect)
Tip : dont go in guns blazing, try the distraught approach or you'll get nowhere.
Reply:I agree with Jingles - read your loan agreement and review all papers attached to your loan agreement.
The bank cannot take money from your account without your written permission.
You cannot complain if you gave the bank explicit permission to get money from your account if certain conditions are met ( ie late loan payment )
Reply:Yes they can take it without your say so if it is two of the same company....eg lloyds/tsb bank account.....lloyds credit loan
Reply:Yes they have every right.. You should try to track your money better %26amp; now how much you are spending so this doesn't happen..!!! Me %26amp; my partner used to get charged all the time %26amp; go over drawn.. But got it sorted %26amp; now we write down whatever we spend so we know where we r..!!

What bank will let me open a bank account with poor credit rating?

That is what they charge. You need to get a little more serious about your money.

Why does itouch apps ask me for my account info?
I have the itouch 2nd gen and when I go to the apps store it asks me for my account information. How do input this information? Or how do I get rid of it.
Why does itouch apps ask me for my account info?
If your downloading something it will always ask you for your password. (you created an account on itunes). The reason for this is because if your were buying an app that costs money it will be able to bill you the bill because when you made your itunes account it asks for your address and credit card number. If you don't have a itunes account go to itunes on your computer sync your itouch and create an account.

Anyone know for sure what happens to unread messages to someone else when you delete your account?
I've heard they go away completely with no sign of anything in their inbox, but also heard that the message is gone but your user name is still there, just not clickable obviously. Is it one of those or is it something else?
Anyone know for sure what happens to unread messages to someone else when you delete your account?
the message will be readable n will have ur display name but as far as ur picture it will say deleted n they obvisouly cant reply lol
Reply:No, not true. They remain in the mailbox and readable - most mail types (POP3, etc) download a copy of the message to the reader's server. What you do with the copy on your server does not effect the other side.
The only exception is if you are both on the same IMAP server and domain - IMAP messages are kept on the server, not downloaded; I'm not sure, but those might be deleted. Again, I am not sure about the IMAP messages.
EDIT - Just noticed this was a MySpace issue - my answer was for e-mail. The question showed up on my home page. Sorry, but there it is if you have the same question about e-mail. No need to flame or thumbs-down me - I realize the error.

How does your interest earnt from your bank account get taxed?
I.e. Do I have to send in my bank statement showing the interest earnt when I file my tax?
How much is it taxed by and how much can i get back etc etc?
(I am refering to Australian Tax)
Thanks
How does your interest earnt from your bank account get taxed?
You just write how much interest you earned for the financial year, as well as any tax the bank may have taken out of your interest if you didn't provide the bank with your tax file number, in your tax return under Interest Income. It gets added into the rest of your income in your tax return... and you pay tax on your taxable income in your tax return, which is reduced by any tax credits you have (from paying taxes out of wages, or out of bank interest already)... and you end up with a reconciliation on your Notice of Assessment from the ATO which may show either a tax payable or tax refund amount.
Reply:In short, Interest is taxed along with all your other income at the Marginal Rate.
If you have provided the Institution with your TFN then no tax will have been deducted from the interest.
The amount of interest is declared at item 10 Label L.
Any tax withheld is shown at Label M
Be careful however as Financial Institutions are required to provide the ATO with details, so don't understate that source of income.
Reply:The bank sends you a 1099-INT showing the amount of interest and this is included in your income.

Can you transfer mp3 files from one user account to another?
My sister wants to make her own user account for the computer, but all her songs are all on my account. Is there a way to somehow transfer them? My guess would be gather all of them into a folder, and email the folder to her email...not sure if that'l work.
Can you transfer mp3 files from one user account to another?
Why don't you make a folder on your computer and gather them all there. By the way, you did not mention where your sister stores those songs.
Or use a flash pen drive, if you have one.

Is there anywhere I can open a checking account?
I am on check systems and Emprise, Intrust, Bank of America or any other bank won't let me open a checking account. I can open a savings but I need a checking account, do you know of any other way I would be able to get a checking account?
Is there anywhere I can open a checking account?
US Bank and/or Key Bank should let you. Also, did you know you can use a saving account like a checking at some banks. Some banks will even let you have a atm card to make purchases with. Some charge per transaction, others don't. It should also work for paying bills online. Instead of entering your checking account number. You would enter you savings account number. You can also use atm card to pay phone and other bills without having to enter a pin number.

Reply:If you can't get a checking account, the best thing you can do is just pay off your debts with money orders. I know it's a total pain in the butt, but, unfortunately, it sounds like you need to show a consistent track record of making payments. Did you have a problem with overdrafts? Most insitutions want to see at least 1 year of no overdrafts or late payments. You'll just have to wait it out and try again in 6 months.

I collect unemployment in Pennsylvania and I have been getting a extra $50.00 in my account, why?
I am collecting unemployment in PA and every other week I am getting an additional $50.00 deposited into my bank account. My brother who is also unemployed like too many people is also getting the 50 bucks. I was just wondering why? Now that I am complaining because the extra money is great. I was also wondering if anyone knows how long this is going to be happening. Thanks for your time!
I collect unemployment in Pennsylvania and I have been getting a extra $50.00 in my account, why?
I believe it has to do with the Stimulus. It gives you an extra 25 per week.
Look on the PA Labor Laws website.

How do I start developing credit? I just turned 18 and have a checking and savings account?
IF YOU CANT GET YOUR PARENTS TO HELP YOU OR WANT TO DO IT ON YOUR OWN: Depending on where you bank (I know that Bank of America does), you may be able to apply for a "secured card" in which you pay a small deposit and the bank gives you a card with a low limit. Use the card and always pay the bill in full (early is even better than on time! learn this now to establish excellent bill paying habits :) After a few months the bank will upgrade you to a regular "unsecured card" and as you continue to use the card regularly and pay your bills on time your credit will be established. But after a year or so with the unsecured card you should get approved for higher amounts. You can even call your bank and request that they up your limits. Your interest rates may be higher, but as you improve you credit and always pay your bills on time (cant stress that enough!) your credit will become what you want it to be!
How do I start developing credit? I just turned 18 and have a checking and savings account?
Very Simple. Ask you parents to add you on 2 or 3 of their credit cards as an Authorized User. Tell them that you need good accounts like any accounts that have been opened for more than 24 months, never been paid late and have high credit limit like $1000.00 and up. Be on these cards for a couple of months and then you will apply and get almost any credit card on your own. I did this when I was younger. Check this website to understand credit.
Reply:Hi Sumy, Apply for a credit card. When you get it,and charge things on your card, make sure you pay you credit card bill at least a week early. This is how you will get excellent credit. I know this for a fact, because i did it,and have out standing credit. A Friend.

Reply:Apply for a credit card: visa or mastercard
There is a rising number of credit card providers, who provide introductory deals for a specified time period, in which you will get a 0% APR on either a balance transfer, or on your purchases, or at times on both.
Reply:You already are.... Pay all of your bills on time. Apply for a credit card and even if you do not need to, use it-pay it off the same month. By doing that will show creditors that you pay your bills.
Do not apply for too many (each time you do it lowers your score).
Reply:Hi. I just figured this one ouot for myself. Go to the bank you have your accounts with and ask about the Forced Loan plans. Or piggy backing. If you know someone with LIFELONG fantastic credit, then go for the Piggybacking feature. They add you to as an authorized user on thier credit card, but send the card to thier address, cut up the card, for thier own peace of mind and yours. and you get the credit rating starting from the date the account was opened. So your credit score sky rockest and looks like you've got a history longer than your legs....

Some credit card companys or store credit cards or gas credit cards will offer very low limits to young people.
Be smart about it, example gas card, use it but then send the cash to the credit card company the next day.
Paying bills as you use your card or within days of using card is a good way to start building a good credit rating.
I had a card when I was young it was only for 200, I would use it but only when I had the money and then would mail a payment to the credit card company that day. This way I never paid interest, and my credit rating was good showing I paid on time.

Every time i try to do it it says " the credit card number you entered is not valid number fcr the type of credit card you have selected.
Is there a way to have an itunes account without a credit card?
Buy iTunes gift cards.
Reply:NO when you register for itunes account you will need a credit card(it wont be charged unless you download any paid things)
The only way around it, is to buy a itunes card loaded with the required amount
Reply:Just open up you itunes Library and it should let you go to the iTunes store. You need to buy an iTunes card though, which is what you use to pay for the songs instead of a credit card.
Reply:Without a credit card, you will not be able to download anything which has a fee on it.
Podcasts is pretty much all you will have access too.

How can I close out my yahoo answers account since every thing I answer anymore gets deleted by yahoo?
I am tired of not being able to have an opinion on this site.
No I never used foul language, swore, no racial slurs, or slang terms, just simply voicing my opinion to answers. Yahoo sucks and I Am done! They will probably delete this too. Just shows you how this site is run and who it is run by.

What is the taxable amount for Savings Bank Account in Nationalised Banks in India?
The taxable amount is on profits from interest that you receive. The amount is tax at the total income you make which has different slabs.
0-1.5 lakhs - no tax
1.5 - 3.0 lakhs - 10%
3.0 - 5.0 lakhs - 20%
5.0 lakhs %26amp; above - 30%
What is the taxable amount for Savings Bank Account in Nationalised Banks in India?
You must include interest in your income. Only point is that banks donot deduct TDS if the total interest payment in a year is below Rs. 10,000
Read http://mytaxes.in/index.php?topic=8.0
Reply:Savings bank has got nothing to do with your tax in terms of what you invest. The interest earned during the FY is taxed under the head "Other Income". Hope it has helped.
Reply:Tough Question cause I havent yet been able to save any Taxable amount!

I have a facebook group for my work under my account. Is there a way I can move it to a new profile or move it to a new account? Its for my work and an intern needs access to it to make updates but I don't want them accessing my normal facebook account with all my mail and friends to see. Thanks ahead of time.

How do you renew a World of Warcarft account?
well you get back on your account at www.worldofwarcraft.com and buy more time, or you can go to any gamestop store or video game store and purchase a game card, the card will give you directions on where to go and how to get back in from there.

What account for the shift from strategic planning to strategic management?
My whole question is:
what account for the shift from strategic planning to strategic management?
in which industries would you be most likely to observe these trends?
What account for the shift from strategic planning to strategic management?
Strategic planning is only a piece of success. Without implementation, there is no win. As companies have realized this, they have moved toward strategic management, where the senior people who plan are also charged with implementation. It makes sense and adds to accountability. You'll see this trend in very competitive businesses, especially in the service sector.

If 2 banks closed your account is it possible to open a bank account anywhere ever again?
if it was closed due to over draft fees?
If 2 banks closed your account is it possible to open a bank account anywhere ever again?
Go for a statement savings account. They don't check your credit for savings accounts. And you're probably better off cause you'll be able to save some money.
Reply:Well I live in Canada, and Ive had my account at the Scotia Bank closed on me twice, and guess where my bank acount is now? You got it! Scotia Bank! So in Canada, you can open an account even if you had two closed on you, and you can even open them at the same bank. If you live in the United States, your probably screwed. They dont even have free health care. I mean, come on, even Cuba has free health care. You can probably open an account after its been shut down in Cuba also.
Reply:There is at least one bank I know of that will open an account for you without checking your past banking history. It's called "Woodforest Bank" and it's opening up in Walmart Supercenters. Their advertisements say they'll accept anybody -- I'm just not sure if they're all over the place yet.
Reply:yes there are some second chance banks you can use!!! you can yahoo for a list of where they are!!!

What is the benefit of opening a savings account in my child's name?
What benefit will I get by putting money that I am saving for my child (college, wedding, whatever...) into a custodial account in my name and her name as the child, versus having it just in a savings in my name?
What is the benefit of opening a savings account in my child's name?
the main benefit is that the child can make up to 850 a year in interest without paying any tax on it. this is for any type of account. one little score for the working folk and a little less money for dear old uncle sam up till age 18, they dont even have to file it as long as total interest in child's name is less than 850 at 5%interest thats like 15000 in principal, tax free money u got to love that lol gl
Reply:The foreseeable benefit could be that the child would be legally entitled to that money when they became a legal adult if something happened to you between now and then. It may be held in a trust fund account until that time if that occured. In the meantime, otherwise, it would be gaining interest and they can access this when they are an adult as needed then.
IF it were just in your name and the unthinkable or unforeseen happened, then the state could disrupt what happens to it if you have no legal and binding will provision for them in this. Consider having a college fund set up as a trust fund instead as that will make it just with your name until that time comes. OR to have 2 seperate acounts, one with both names for their wedding expense, the other designated for college in JUST your name to ensure they don't take that out otherwise.
I would think tax laws are better for just as a child's trust fund.
Reply:If you are saving for college, keep the account in YOUR name.
There is a lot of good information on this site http://www.bankrate.com/brm/rate/college... And you can never start saving too early!

Is it fair for yahoo to suspend a account, for a simple question asked about bodily hygiene?
I asked a question earlier today about cleaning one part of my body, using another part of my body.
For obvious reasons I can not repeat which body part I used to wash another body part, but my dog does it all the time, so use your imagination.
Is it fair for yahoo to suspend a account, for a simple question asked about bodily hygiene?
Why did I get suspended the last time for asking questions about "bewbies"?
Why did I get suspended the time before that for asking why my dog eats cat pewp from the litter box?

another reason why, it's because we have kids that see this and as a parent, I wouldn't want my kid reading it...would you? Hmm I don't think you would know how to answer if they did!

Why did I get suspended the last time for asking questions about "bewbies"?
Why did I get suspended the time before that for asking why my dog eats cat pewp from the litter box?
LOL...seriously...bewbies and pewp are what always get me kicked from Y! Answers!
Reply:Dude wtf, no wonder they deleted it! it's a violation...how the F*ck can you wash that private part with another one? lol-they will still be dirty. Use your imagination and soap!
another reason why, it's because we have kids that see this and as a parent, I wouldn't want my kid reading it...would you? Hmm I don't think you would know how to answer if they did!
Reply:Depends on which category you submitted your question to. If it was polls and surveys, it doesn't really fit the category.
Also, that is pretty gross.
Reply:its probably some troll flagging your question..don't worry. some of my Innocent question have been deleted too!
like "i cant find my iphone music library"
or "which facial scrub is better"
Reply:Just about everything is against the rules on this site. Don't worry, there was nothing wrong with your question. People are just too uptight.
Reply:Yahoo! can do whatever Yahoo! wants.
Reply:I think that information could have been very relevant.....especially in this economy when no one can afford running water and soap.
Reply:No I think yahoo is stupid I'd like to send them dumb@$$es anthrax and if they do that again report them to bbb.org. lol
Reply:You serious? I've been suspended for the question "What do you want to eat right now?" (use your imagination)
Reply:Lmao yahoo has a dirty dirty mind
Reply:damn , its like the Christian Nazi's trolled your question.
Reply:LOL.
Reply:lol -no its not fair
Reply:not fair. i feel pity for you
Reply:i think thats just fine. D: sent them a hate letter.

How do you close your Windows live Spaces account?

How do you close your Windows live Spaces account?
Hi Studd69,
I found a pretty easy fix for this. So, log in to www.home.live.com. When you’re logged in, click the “Options” link on the right-hand side of the page, select “More Options” from the drop-down list.
On the next page, click on “Spaces” in the left-hand list. This will bring up settings for Spaces. In the next page, click on “General.” From there, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “Delete your space” button.
There you go.
Cheers,
Ron

Is someone stealing my internet, using my email account or is it spyware?
In my hotmail account, I get a lot of emails that say undeliverable mail, but I am not the one sending it out. It shows mostly russian lettering in the subject line. I haven't opened any of it being afraid that it might contain a virus. I would hate that it be someone using my email.
Is someone stealing my internet, using my email account or is it spyware?
Krystal: It could be spyware, why don't you download Avast from cnet.com, and install on your computer, it is free, and checks your emails. This will take the guess out and let you know for sure.
Good Luck
http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-F...
Reply:By all means check your machine for virus's %26amp; spyware. That's basic security. Check out avast.com for "Avast!" anti-virus which has a free for personal use version and also see lavasoft.com and look for Ad-Aware Free, a free for personal use version. Avast is very diligent about keeping itself up-to-date, and has a cute, but ultimately annoying characteristic of loudly announcing "Virus database has been updated!" Fortunately, you can easily turn off the announcements. I have no financial connection with these entities and I'm referring you to the free editions in any case.
On the other hand, the cause of your unexplained bounced emails may be slightly less nefarious. Someone may simply be putting your address in the Reply-To: field of their spam emails, or even hacking them into the Sender: field, so that the email bounces for undeliverable mail go to you and don't end up clogging their mailbox. Unfortunately for you and the rest of us, our email addresses are frequently available to be harvested from any number of web sources. They are not only used to send us stuff we don't want, but to help the spammers avoid getting stuff they don't want. It's "slightly less" because it doesn't involve compromising your machine, but only "slightly" because the underlying purpose is as nefarious as it ever is in such cases and it ends up wasting your time, disk space and bandwidth.
Just a couple of years ago, I had the same thing happening. Dozens of bounced emails that I knew I wasn't sending were landing in my emailbox. I checked my machine thoroughly and found it to be clean. I asked around, just as you did, and got the same answer I'm giving you now. Your own Internet Service Provider will likely tell you the same. Some ISP's have a free-for-members security suite they will steer you to.
Reply:comodo.com offers a complete security suite free their firewall is easy to operate and the rest is install and forget and it works for vista all of this from the oldest computer security company...and it checks your email

How can I back up an exchange mail account?
I would like to back up an exchange system so that there is disaster recovery. I'm using Mail2Web Business Exchange, together with Windows XP %26amp; Outlook 2007.
I am currently using Outlook 2007, and copying the OST file doesn't work.
Is there any other way of saving it as a pst?
How can I back up an exchange mail account?
Very interesting question, your system administrators should know how to run a backup utility with Exchange Server. It would backup your mail.
Other ways is that you can drag and drop the e-mail message(s) anywhere you want and it will create a file with the information backed up. That's the sure fire way of doing it (it will take a while if you have a lot of e-mail).
Take care,
Chad

What's the difference between ATM/Debit & Checking Account?
I want to buy something off the internet. Some options were credit card, check, money order, etc. But then I come across where it says ATM/Debit OR Checking Account. Aren't they the same??? What's the difference?
What's the difference between ATM/Debit %26amp; Checking Account?
with ATM Or debit card, you give your atm/debit card number and the cvv when making the purchase.
with checking account, you give your account number, bank routing number, zip code, and full name when you purchase. this is kind of risky. atm/debit card is also risky, but you have a weak safety feature that you dont expose your account details to anyone else.
in case you lose your debit card or those details get into someone's hands, you just call your bank and cancel the card.
Reply:In a way, they're all tied together. You need a checking account to have an ATM card and a debit card.
You can use a credit or debit card.

How much is it to get a savings account?
I think it is $300 but im not exactly sure
Please tell me if im wrong or right.
How much is it to get a savings account?
Each bank sets their own minimum deposit to open. Most are not that high.
I think you are thinking of the balance required to avoid a monthly service charge. You may be right as many savings accounts have that $300 requirement. But it is only to avoid a service charge, not to open an account.
You can find the information your are looking for at the bank's website if you are referring to a particular bank.
Reply:Every bank is different. It does not COST you anything,, there are just minimum starting balances.
WAMU has accounts for kids with no minimum and no fees.

How does an E-Trade account work for the account holder? I was considering it but just need more information.?
Why would I open an account? After I open the account, what's next?
How does an E-Trade account work for the account holder? I was considering it but just need more information.?
I use etrade and its pretty straightforward. After you set up the account (basically fill out the form) you can set up a link with a bank account to electronically transfer cash. Once you have cash in your account buying and selling stocks is very simple--there's a 'trade' link and you just enter how many shares of what you want. The site has a good interface, though there are cheaper brokers out there.
Reply:Open your brokerage account and then email me and I will help you for FREE. (I am a Portfolio Manager)
Most people want to invest in the Stock Markets because they want to make millions of dollars.
Reply:You would open an account to be able to trade stocks, bonds, currencies, options, etc.
Once you open an account, you need to fund it. You could deposit $ at an ETrade location or electronically transfer $ from your own bank account.

How hard is it to protect your email account.?
I don't mean from the patriot act, but from hacker?. How can one swear to protect the country if they can't even proctect their own email account? Why would one use a public domain for official business?
How hard is it to protect your email account.?
you can't protect your account from someone who really wants it. should we intern you to a special home because you can't take care of yourself?
Reply:She used this for personal correspondence. You don't want her using state email for chats with friends and family do you?
The hackers stole personal letters of encouragement, email from her family, family photos and personal cell phone numbers. None of this had political value. This was simply meant to harrass and hurt palin and her family.
Her account was accessed because the hacker was able to trick the password reset in Yahoo. This had nothing to do with the computer security or password security she controlled.
But then again you don't care about truth and logic.
Reply:You care more about that than the dirty politics of the thugs who hacked her account. That's pretty pathetic.
Guilty until proven innocent, that's how it is with Palin and that's how it is under socialism.
You destroy your enemies and slander them. That's what you're doing to america if you elect Obama. You will have no one to blame but yourself.

How do I figure out how much I will be getting in interest on my cd account?
I just opened a cd account for 9 months and its APR is at 3.00% How do I figure out what I will get at the end of the 9 month period.
How do I figure out how much I will be getting in interest on my cd account?
You'll make about 2.25% on whatever you put in...just multiply the amount you put in by 1.0225
That will get you really close. If you need to know exactly, let me know how often the money compounds.
Reply:I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they cost $60--$100 a barrel. I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only over $140 a barrel. So here is my difficulty:
I have requested my agents spin the media, like: “Oil future looks high, expecting to be in the range of $200 a barrel soon” But it does not work price up fast enough.
I have paid the mainstream media, the Think Tanks, and the major PR talking heads, to spin China and India (supply and demand) responsible for price hike, to deflect American public anger. But that does not go far enough.
Right now, I am extremely nervous and worried. I urgently need a prey to buy those “paper barrels” on my hording. So I can profit. But where can I find my prey ?
