How come i cant open my own bank account!?

I can drive a car. I can join the army. I can father a child.





But i cant open a bank account without my parents cosigning it.





What is wrong with this world!!
How come i cant open my own bank account!?
In order for one to open their own bank account they must put X amount of dollars in it...do you have it? if so I don't understand why you can't open one either.

Reply:You can open your account, check your credit report, and try another bank.
Reply:A bank account? Are you sure. A ten year old can open a bank account, no co-signer is needed. You mean a loan?





Edit: Maybe I'm wrong based on Japa's answer, I can't imagine why however. I had an account when I was very young, dont remember needing a cosigner.
Reply:the legal age to open any account is 18 unless you have a cosigner and that is law that is in effect in the whole banking system sorry
