Is there anywhere I can open a checking account?

I am on check systems and Emprise, Intrust, Bank of America or any other bank won't let me open a checking account. I can open a savings but I need a checking account, do you know of any other way I would be able to get a checking account?

US Bank and/or Key Bank should let you. Also, did you know you can use a saving account like a checking at some banks. Some banks will even let you have a atm card to make purchases with. Some charge per transaction, others don't. It should also work for paying bills online. Instead of entering your checking account number. You would enter you savings account number. You can also use atm card to pay phone and other bills without having to enter a pin number.

Reply:If you can't get a checking account, the best thing you can do is just pay off your debts with money orders. I know it's a total pain in the butt, but, unfortunately, it sounds like you need to show a consistent track record of making payments. Did you have a problem with overdrafts? Most insitutions want to see at least 1 year of no overdrafts or late payments. You'll just have to wait it out and try again in 6 months.
