How do you delete your yahoo e-mail account ?

I have looked under my account %26amp; do not see a option to cancel my account ?

Follow all the prompts when you close out your account. Please be sure to read all warnings very carefully during the account deletion process.





By terminating your account, you will lose access to your entire Yahoo! ID. Everything stored in your account will be lost during the termination process. All this includes the following:





-Yahoo! Mail


-Yahoo! Address Book


-Yahoo! HotJobs


-GeoCities


-Yahoo! Briefcase


-My Yahoo!


-Yahoo! Groups


-Finance Portfolio


-Any other area that is accessible your username and password





Once you deleted your account, you can never open it back up again due to security reasons.

Note: a mail account can't get deleted separately. If you don't want it anymore best let it go dormant, after 4 months of inactivity Yahoo will delete it automatically.
