I am moving to Italy to work in a few weeks time. I am planning on having my wages paid into my UK account will they be taxed if I do this? I will be working abroad for at least one full tax year.
Will I be taxed on my overseas earnings if I pay them into my UK bank account?
if you will be out of the Uk for a full tax year, you will be regarded as non resident. Your Italian earnings will therefore be tax free, even if remitted here. Your other worldwide income, includng that from the Uk will still be taxable.
Reply:An individual is taxed in UK on World Wide income if he/she is UK resident. But fot that may be Double Taxation Relief is available.
Better to ask from HMR%26amp;C.
Reply:No you pay tax in the country you earnt it
Reply:someone wants the tax on them italy or the uk, just paying them in the uk will still be paying tax here, you'd have to pay offshore and working in italy i dont think counts as offshore anymore, you'd have to be out of the EEC
