What's the difference between ATM/Debit & Checking Account?

I want to buy something off the internet. Some options were credit card, check, money order, etc. But then I come across where it says ATM/Debit OR Checking Account. Aren't they the same??? What's the difference?
What's the difference between ATM/Debit %26amp; Checking Account?
with ATM Or debit card, you give your atm/debit card number and the cvv when making the purchase.

with checking account, you give your account number, bank routing number, zip code, and full name when you purchase. this is kind of risky. atm/debit card is also risky, but you have a weak safety feature that you dont expose your account details to anyone else.

in case you lose your debit card or those details get into someone's hands, you just call your bank and cancel the card.
Reply:In a way, they're all tied together. You need a checking account to have an ATM card and a debit card.

You can use a credit or debit card.
