Can I write a check from one bank account to another in my name?

I currently have two bank accounts, one personal and one joint. I minimally use the joint account as it is for my husbands primary use but my name is on it. I was wondering if I could write a personal check to him and him deposit it into our shared account? Thanks!
Can I write a check from one bank account to another in my name?
Yes you just have to write a check to yourself or if you use online banking you could transfer money that way
Reply:Yes, you can write your personal check to yourself or your husband's name, sign and deposit to your joint account. It can be deposited through either ABM or at the teller.

Also, you can use email money service from your personal account to send to your joint account by enter your own email address. The system will have instructions for you to follow. Just so you know, the limit for email money is max. $1000 per day for most Canadian banking institutions. Email money is to save you time to go to the bank or ABM. It does cost you a small fee for each transaction.
Reply:You can definitely write a check to yourself. You're only limited to the available balance in your account. Just be cautious with funds availability on the account that you're depositing to. Most banks delay the availability of checks deposited (especially for larger checks).
Reply:You can write a check to whoever you want to, even yourself. I did that this morning for a deposit to an account that autopays my home loan.

You can certainly write one to your husband, he can endorse it, and deposit it to the joint account
Reply:Sure! Just reference the account number.
Reply:Yes, I do it all the time. Don't forget to endorse it :).
