Can you download World of Warcraft and Expansions for free then pay for an account and play?

What I mean is:





Can I download World of Warcraft and its expansions for free through torrents then buy an account and use it?





*I know about private servers but I want to play lich king when it comes out.

You can download the software for the game but you will be limited to level 20, and you will not be able to trade or use the auction house until you have a paid account. Additionally you will not be able to do any of the expansion activities until you have a paid account for the game and expansion.
Reply:No, you cannot. You can download the original WoW and play it free on a 10-Day trial, but you'll have no expansion stuff available, and you'll be limited to a max of level 20. To exceed that limit or to play after 10 days, you'll have to buy WoW and start paying the monthly fee (though you do get one month fee with the purchase of at least one month). To play any of the expansion material, you have to buy them as well.
Reply:You can download the original wow for free off their website, and you even get a free 10 day trial. However, when Wrath of the Lich King comes out you'll need your own account, the best way to do it is buy the WOW Battle Chest. It comes with WoW, Burning Crusade, and strategy guides.





If you opt for the trial account, its $20 (the price of wow) to upgrade to a full account and $30(the price of BC by itself) to upgrade to a burning crusade account.





The account is really what you pay for, the games you can download right off the website. So

Reply:HEY there!u can download all of these files if u have a psx and u need 2 have an account there are many sites out there but trust me man....torrents DO NOT work for ps2 try finding sites on google and burn up the cd in the psx (costs $500) and remember the cd must be in ps2 platform for eg:DVD ROM,DVD RW,NTSC etc and why r u being so cheap u cant take shortcuts all the time see the psx costs too much!just buy the damn game when it comes out CAN'T u WAIT A LITTLE BIT! :-(
Reply:You can, heck, you can even download Blizzard's downloading programs free from www.fileplanet.com and use them to get the main game, the currently released expansion, and all of the patches, then you will be set to play on private servers or pay to play blizzard.
Reply:Yes, it will ask you while downloading if you want to create an account, just skip this step and you will be fine. Actually, you can download the original World of Warcraft from their site.
